"We wanted Body Culture to be more than a gym - a place where everyone feels confident to train, progress, and belong."
— Luke Davidson, Co-founder
Luke and Scott wanted to establish a facility that balanced individual progression with group energy. The result is a well-zoned space that supports functional, strength, and cardio training in equal measure, underpinned by an atmosphere of inclusion and motivation.

The Challenge
The founders’ goal was to develop a high-quality fitness centre that catered to both solo and group training. The layout needed to provide clear zoning, logical flow, and a motivating environment that could accommodate a wide range of training preferences, including HIIT, functional, cardio, and traditional strength work.
The Solution
Starting from a blank space, our design team used 3D visual planning to bring Luke and Scott’s vision to life. Careful attention was paid to lighting, flooring, and branding to ensure each area supported its specific purpose while maintaining a cohesive look and feel.
The facility was divided into key zones:
Cardio and HIIT - featuring T98 Treadmills, Blade 2.0 Rowers, Tornado Airbikes, and Stairmaster Gauntlets.
Selectorised strength - Elite Series dual-function machines such as the Lat Pulldown/Low Row and Leg Extension/Leg Curl.
Plate loaded strength - Sterling Series machines designed for heavy-duty performance and natural movement.
Free weights - including dumbbells, Olympic and adjustable benches, lifting platform, half rack, and smith machine.
Functional and group training - with a sled track, wall-mounted rig, and dedicated boxing and group exercise kit.
Flooring was selected to match the demands of each space: vinyl in reception and café areas, 15mm rubber tiles in functional and strength zones, and 30mm rubber tiles in the free weights area.
The Result
Body Culture has become a focal point for the local fitness community. The diverse equipment mix, intuitive layout, and welcoming atmosphere encourage consistent member engagement and progression. Every design choice reflects Luke and Scott’s goal of creating a facility where members feel supported, capable, and connected.
This project highlights how thoughtful design and high-quality equipment can turn a vision into a thriving fitness hub.
