What are powerbands used for?

Powerbands, also known as loop resistance bands, are used to either increase or reduce resistance depending on how they are applied. They are widely used for assisted pull ups and dips, banded barbell lifts, warm ups, activation work and controlled rehab exercises. Their flexibility allows them to support both entry level users and experienced athletes.

Progressive resistance made simple

Each powerband offers a different resistance level, allowing training intensity to be scaled without changing equipment. Lighter bands are ideal for mobility, activation and technique work, while heavier bands support strength development and assisted bodyweight movements. This makes them particularly effective in shared gym spaces with mixed ability users.

Suitable for commercial and home use

Gym Gear powerbands are designed for repeated use in demanding environments. Manufactured from durable, high quality latex, they deliver consistent tension and reliability across a wide range of exercises. This makes them well suited to commercial gyms, education facilities, functional training areas and home gyms alike.

Minimal storage, maximum versatility

Powerbands are easy to store and integrate into existing training zones. They can be used with racks, rigs and pull up stations, kept in warm up areas, or included in PT session kits. Their small footprint and wide application make them a cost effective way to expand training options without reworking your layout.
