The process began with a detailed consultation to understand the requirements of the station’s team. After gathering precise room measurements and a comprehensive list of equipment requests, our in-house designers developed a custom gym layout. Using advanced 3D visualisation tools, we presented a layout that optimised the available space while ensuring seamless transitions between cardio and strength zones.
For the cardio area, we provided a selection of high-performance machines, including T98 Treadmills, an X98s Cross Trainer, and high-intensity favourites such as the Bike Max 2.0, Row Max 2.0, and Hurricane Airbike. These machines were chosen for their durability, ease of use, and suitability for a range of fitness levels. The strength training section was fitted with a Rhino Pro Strength System alongside equipment from our space-efficient Dual Series range, delivering a variety of exercise options without compromising on floor space.
To complement the main equipment, we supplied essential accessories, including an Olympic Bar, Rubber Plate Set, and Dumbbell Set. These additions ensure that the space supports both traditional strength training and functional fitness routines. Every detail, from the equipment arrangement to the flooring, was carefully considered to create a practical, visually appealing, and efficient gym.
The completed facility now provides Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service staff with a modern, professional-grade fitness space. Designed and installed by Gym Gear, the gym is built to meet the demands of their physically challenging roles, offering a comprehensive solution to support their health and fitness goals.
