Fund raising achieves Longridge defibrillator goal
With help from Gym Gear, Darren Salmon, a Personal Trainer at Longridge, has achieved the install of a defibrillator outside his gym via fundraising efforts.
This defibrillator will be available 24-hours a day in case a member of the public needs to access it!
If defibrillation occurs within five minutes of cardiac arrest, the person has a survival chance of 50-70%.
Having these live-saving defibrilators spread throughout the community is vital when it comes to increasing the chances of saving lives during cardiac arrest.
Darren is continuing his mission to being more defibrillators to the area, with another machine already ordered for the area.
