Working closely with the school’s PE department, Gym Gear developed a modern, inclusive gym that blends functionality, safety, and performance. The brief called for a facility that could enhance physical education delivery, promote student wellbeing, and support a variety of training styles.

The Challenge
Kinver High School & Sixth Form wanted to elevate its sports and fitness offering by creating a gym that could accommodate both structured PE lessons and wider wellbeing initiatives. The space needed to serve users of all abilities while maintaining durability, safety, and ease of use in a school environment.
The Solution
Gym Gear supplied and installed a complete equipment package to deliver a balanced and adaptable training space. Each zone was designed to support a specific training focus while maintaining smooth flow for both group and individual sessions.
Strength area: Platinum Series Dual Adjustable Pulley, Dual Series Leg Press / Calf Raise, and Sterling Series Half Power Rack with Adjustable Benches.
Functional and free weights zone: Olympic Bar & Plates set, dumbbells (2.5kg–25kg), kettlebells, plyo boxes, powerbags, slam balls, mats with wall storage, and a prowler sled.
Flooring: 10m x 1.5m sprint track and 20mm Premium Rubber Floor Tiles with matching edges for safety and durability.
The 3D design ensured optimal space utilisation, clear zoning, and accessibility for all users.
The Result
The new facility delivers a first-class training environment for both students and staff. It enhances PE provision, supports extra-curricular clubs, and encourages regular participation in physical activity.
