The Challenge
The station required a gym that would allow staff to maintain the high levels of fitness necessary for their roles. The space needed to accommodate both cardio and strength training equipment, along with functional training accessories, all within a limited footprint. A practical layout was essential to ensure smooth movement between training zones and to maximise usability.
The Solution
After a detailed consultation and site measurements, our design team created a 3D visualisation of the new facility. This ensured the layout was both functional and efficient before moving forward with the installation.
The equipment installed included:
- Cardio machines: T98 Treadmills, X98s Cross Trainer, Bike Max 2.0, Row Max 2.0, Hurricane Airbike
- Strength equipment: Rhino Pro Strength System, Dual Series machines
- Accessories: Olympic Bar, Rubber Plate Set, Dumbbell Set
Every element was carefully selected for durability, ease of use, and suitability across different fitness levels. The final layout created distinct cardio and strength areas while preserving open space for functional exercises.
The Result
The finished facility now provides Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service staff with a professional-grade gym that meets the demands of their role. The space is modern, practical, and robust, offering firefighters everything they need to maintain peak fitness and resilience.
