South Wales Police approached Gym Gear via the ESPO framework with a requirement to upgrade the cardio provision at their main headquarters gym. The goal was to create a facility that could accommodate multiple users at peak times while maintaining a high standard of equipment across the board.

The Challenge

The headquarters gym required 14 new cardio stations to support the health and fitness needs of staff. With limited floor space, the design had to balance accessibility and flow while ensuring a broad mix of equipment to meet different training preferences.

The Solution

Our design team produced a detailed layout plan to demonstrate how the equipment could be positioned effectively within the available space. This ensured a logical flow throughout the gym and maximised usability without overcrowding.

The installation included:

  • 4 x Gym Gear T97 Treadmills
  • 4 x Gym Gear X97 Cross Trainers
  • 4 x M Sport Indoor Bikes
  • 2 x Concept II Model D Rowers

The full delivery and installation were completed to the required schedule, with all equipment configured and tested for immediate use.

The Result

South Wales Police have reported excellent feedback from staff, who value both the quality and variety of the new machines. The upgraded facility has enhanced the daily training options available at HQ and is now well-equipped to handle higher usage demands.
