UK Vapour Brands transformed the former Accrington Fire Station into their new business headquarters, combining modern office areas with warehouse space, a roof terrace and a fully equipped gym overlooking the town. Gym Gear were proud to support the redevelopment by delivering a tailored workplace gym designed to enhance employee wellbeing and team culture.

The Challenge
As part of their focus on staff health and wellbeing, UK Vapour Brands wanted a gym that would encourage regular use across all fitness levels, including complete beginners. Space within the building was limited, so it was essential to create an efficient layout that balanced function and comfort while avoiding an overcrowded feel. Detailed 3D visuals were used during the design process to help visualise flow, spacing and accessibility.
The Solution
The final design delivered a versatile mix of cardio, strength and functional training options to suit a wide range of abilities. Equipment installed included:
Gym Gear Entertainment Series cardio with internet connectivity, fitness apps, virtual programmes and TV
Elite Series 4 Station Multi Jungle
Free weights including dumbbells, benches, barbells and bumper plates
30mm rubber flooring tiles for impact protection and vibration reduction
Each element was chosen to maximise usability, safety and variety within the available footprint, providing a complete training experience for all employees.
The Result
The completed facility has been warmly received by the workforce, with strong participation levels already reported. UK Vapour Brands expect the gym to play a key role in supporting staff wellbeing, reducing absenteeism and improving overall productivity.
