The Challenge
The centre needed a gym that balanced variety and accessibility, while also encouraging social interaction and long-term member progression. With space to consider, careful planning was required to ensure all training zones were integrated seamlessly without compromising flow or capacity.
The Solution
Gym Gear worked closely with the team at Walton Sports Centre to design a facility that maximised every square metre. Using 3D visualisation software, we produced a detailed layout that allowed the client to see how equipment and flooring would fit within the space before installation.
The final solution combined:
- Cardio equipment including treadmills, cross trainers, upright bikes, curved treadmill, ski erg, rower, air bikes and a pursuit bike.
- Strength and conditioning kit including modular rig systems, leg press, benches, multi-press machines and cable stations.
- Free weights and accessories such as Olympic bars, dumbbells, bumper plates, and specialist lifting platforms.
- Flooring with 20mm premium rubber tiles and integrated oak lifting zones for durability and safety.
The Result
The completed installation has provided Walton Sports Centre with a premium-quality fitness environment that caters to all training needs. From beginners to performance-driven athletes, members now benefit from a wide choice of equipment and a layout designed for flow, progression and enjoyment.
