The Challenge
The new-build project required a gym that could cater to a wide variety of training needs while fitting within a defined space. It needed to accommodate operational staff who rely on fitness for role-specific demands, as well as support staff who would benefit from accessible training options. Careful planning was essential to ensure the equipment mix delivered strength, cardio, and testing capabilities.
The Solution
An initial layout design was created to confirm how the equipment would fit within the available footprint. This provided a clear vision for both the client and our team, ensuring the facility would meet all user requirements.
The final installation included:
A full range of Gym Gear cardio equipment
Wattbike for performance-focused training
T97 Treadmill with Chester Treadmill Test pre-programmed
Selection of strength machines to cover all major muscle groups
This blend of equipment provided a balance between cardiovascular training, role-specific testing, and comprehensive strength development.
The Result
The new station gym has proven highly successful and is now a popular facility for both operational and support staff. With reliable, versatile equipment in place, the gym offers a consistent training environment that supports health, fitness, and role readiness.
