Broughton Leisure Centre, Gym Equipment & Design

Objective

The goal was to completely reinvigorate the gym facilities in an attempt to attract new members, increase member retention levels and generally improve customer experience.

Gym Design

Prior to the refurbishment, the free weights and strength area was being heavily used and could not accommodate all the members looking to make use of it. Therefore it was important for Gym Gear to increase the capacity for free weight and strength training, while keeping the facility flexible to allow for group exercise classes to be ran in the same space.

Equipment Installed

Broughton Leisure features an extensive range of state of the art cardiovascular equipment, including a selection of premium Gym Gear Performance Series machines, a Jacobs Ladder, SpeedFit Curved Treadmill and a Tire Flip 180 XL. The addition of these specialist items adds a whole new dimension to the CV zone that is unlikely to be rivalled by any other gyms in Salford.

To cater for members with increasingly common strength training goals, Salford Leisure opted for a variety of resistance machines from Technogym complimented by a range of Gym Gear free weights and accessories.
To meet popular demand a dedicated spin zone was also incorporated, allowing for both individual training and group workout classes.

Outcome

This bright, colourful and versatile space looks fantastic, and the members are reportedly over the moon, fully utilising all the aspects the facility has on offer!
