Objective
Owner of KL Fitness Management Kyle Longbottom wanted a custom designed studio equipped with very specific functional, HIIT and strength equipment to create the perfect environment for both one-to-one personal training and small group training.
Gym Design and Planning
As with most PT studios space is a premium and the 3D gym design software proved useful in prioritising the range of equipment selected, along with the size of area for the different types of gym flooring. For example would the inclusion of a sled track / Sprint track compromise the space required for small group training.
Equipment Installed
As with any installation the first job was to get the gym floor fitted. The whole floor area was firstly ply lined for added strength. In the Olympic lifting area 30mm rubber gym tiles were fitted to help absorb the impact from falling weights. In the dumbbell area we fitted 15mm rubber tiles at the clients request, due to a lighter range of dumbbells being used and fewer weights being dropped. Along the far wall in the functional area we fitted a custom size sprint track in red to match the companies branding. A range of functional equipment was fitted from Prowler to suspension trainers, slam balls, Battle rope and power bands. Several Gym Gear Sport Spin bikes and a Tornado air bike have been fitted for small group training sessions. A selection of Gym Gear Dual Series strength machines have been fitted for their space efficient design and multi functionality.
Outcome
Kyle and his team now have the perfect facility for both PT and small group training. Clients are raving about the new studio and have commented on their preference for training in the more private environment rather than on the gym floor. The studio is already close to capacity in just 1 month of opening.
