The Challenge
OMR Fitness set out to create a facility that would welcome members from all backgrounds, ages, and experience levels. Owner Matt wanted the gym to go beyond traditional cardio and resistance training by embracing a wide range of fitness styles and programmes, including Fitness for Older Adults, Exercise for Weight Loss, Traditional Strength Training, HIIT, Exercise for Mental Health, Functional Fitness, and Health and Wellness Coaching.
The challenge was to design a space that could accommodate this diverse offering while maintaining a logical flow, aesthetic appeal, and strong sense of community identity.
The Solution
Matt visited our head office to collaborate directly with the Gym Gear design team. Together, we developed a detailed floor plan that balanced practicality with visual impact. Bespoke Gym Gear equipment and clearly defined training zones were incorporated to create an intuitive layout that supports exercise progression and caters to different user needs.
From functional and free weights areas to dedicated wellness and group spaces, every section of the gym was designed with purpose. The result is a space that flows naturally, feels open and inspiring, and provides flexibility for multiple training styles.
The Result
The completed facility is a bright, welcoming environment where members of all abilities can train with confidence. OMR Fitness now stands as a genuine community hub – a place where health, connection, and motivation come together. The inclusive layout and considered design have helped attract a broad membership base, each finding their own way to engage with fitness.
