Parklands High School

Introduction:

Gym Gear were initially recommended to the client by another school in the local area. The new fitness suite at Parklands High School is part of an extension to the main sports hall building. It has been created to provide the P.E. Department with an additional internal teaching facility.

Gym Design & Planning:

The available space for this gym was considerable however we wanted to ensure that the equipment was laid out in such a way that would allow the students to easily rotate through the various groups of equipment under the guidance of the P.E. staff. It was also important to ensure that the staff can supervise the area easily from any part of the room and this was taken into consideration during the design stage of the project.

Equipment Installed:

16 cardio station have been installed which include 4 x T97 Treadmills, 4 x X97 Cross Trainers, 4 x Blade 2.0 Rowers, 3 x C97 Upright Bikes, 1 x R97 Recumbent Bike and also 1 x Tornado Airbike to offer lots of exercise variety. A number of strength machines have been supplied and this also includes a multi gym which is also the focal point for the area. Rubber gym flooring and wall mirrors have been fitted as part of the free weights area and the fitness suite also benefits from a general accessories area which offers such equipment as 16mm sports mats, Soft 3 in 1 Plyo Boxes, Powerbags and Medicine Balls amongst other items.
