Sedbergh Independent School have partnered with gymgear for installing a state of the art training facility in their new build next generation Sports Centre. It is a new hub for sporting life at Sedbergh School and is available for community use.
The new Sports Centre was designed to improve sports and fitness facilities for the local community and those who play sport for school, or at the highest level.
Design and Planning
Working with the architects and project management team, several iterations of the gym design were created in our 3d design software, taking into account the objectives of the project.
State of the art Gym Gear Entertainment Series Cardio alongside Watt Bikes, Concept 2, M Sport Spin bikes and a Jacobs Ladder. A selection of Gym Gear Elite Series strength, many dual purpose to maximise functionality per square metre.
The new Sport centre reflects the standard and quality of sport at Sedbergh School. The two additional indoor courts enable training and fixtures to take place in the winter evenings and when the weather is too wet or windy to play competitive sport outside. Previously local groups used the Sedbergh School sports hall for 15 hours per week and with the new facilities this has more than doubled, offering the community 45 hours use per week. This project represents Sedbergh’s commitment to optimising the sporting potential of every pupil whatever their interest or standard.
