Gym Gear were approached by the Hotel with the task of designing and fitting a new functional gym, following the successful refurbishment of one of their other hotel gyms previously. As this was a full renovation project, gym flooring was required alongside an array of equipment that made effective use of the limited space available, whilst meeting all the exercise requirements of the guests / gym users.
The Netherwood Hotel is a beautiful Grade II listed Victorian mansion located in Grange over Sands, Cumbria.
The planning process involved several 3D gym designs to determine the optimum layout for the equipment, ensuring there was enough space in the gym to comfortably use each machine to its full potential. The gym is split into 2 adjoining rooms, one with strength equipment, and one with cardiovascular machines. With space at a premium it was decided that multi-function machines would be the most effective choice in the strength room, this included the Gym Gear Elites Series leg extension / leg curl, lat pulldown / low row and dual adjustable pulley, along with a 3D smith machine and a selection of free weights.
In addition to the two existing cross trainers, Fitness Warehouse also fitted the cardio room with a Gym Gear T98 Treadmill, C97 Upright bike, R97 Recumbent bike and Concept 2 rower. The choices of equipment were made to provide a diverse range of workout options that would meet the needs of all, in addition to their ease of operation and durability.
