Objective
The founders of White Cube wanted to create the perfect personal training facility, with carefully selected top of the range equipment, an attractive environment, and designed by a team of personal trainers. White Cube’s objective is to provide a better space for Personal Trainers to train their clients than typical gym facilities which can be overcrowded, expensive and often don’t have the correct equipment.
Gym Design and Planning
The design process was relatively simple due to the huge amount of space available and clear vision from the directors. It was important to ensure equipment was positioned so that multiple PT’s could run sessions in the space without obstructing one another.
Equipment Installed
A huge range of studio and functional equipment was installed from Battle Ropes, kettlebells to TRX’s and TuffNut. The floor fitted is a 30mm high impact flooring which means weights can be used in any part of the studio and the floor is protected. The two Sterling Series Half Racks provide for a range of Olympic lifting exercises including squats, deadlift’s and resistance band based strength training. The installation of the XPO Trainer Prowler Sled means sled conditioning sessions can be done almost anywhere in the gym without the need for a sled track, and in summer it can be used outside. A Free Standing punchbag again provides the flexibility of been able to run a boxing session in any part of the gym. The Pro Series Dual adjustable pulley cable machine was chosen for the huge variety of exercises it provides for both strength training and rehabilitation. A range of dumbbells, powerbags, slamballs and medicine balls can be found in appropriate locations around the studio.
Outcome
White Cube officially launched in January and has already attracted the attention of a number of world class personal trainers who now take their clients, including professional dancer and ex Strictly Come Dancing Star Flavia Cacace.
